Why use an 0871 number?
With an 0871 number, you can earn money whilst enabling your customers to keep in touch with you. Your callers pay the standard fee for 0871 national rate calls. In addition we will pay you up to 6.3* pence per minute for every call that you receive on your number, allowing your business to generate a revenue stream which can be used to offset some of your call centre costs.

Ofcom plan to cease 0870 (daytime customer call charges of 8 pence per minute) call rebate payments to companies in early 2008. Many companies see 0871 numbers, with customer call charges at 10 pence per minute as the most obvious replacement to 0870 numbers.
